Albert Thomas Barnhold passed from this life on Sept. 25, just days past his 96th birthday. He died at home with his family. That seems very fitting, as he has lived on the property since he was seven years old, a total of 89 years.
Stephen Anthony Morris was born in Connecticut on Sept. 22, 1954 to Nettie Morris and Grady Wallie. He was the eldest of eight children. In high school he met Sheila Phillips, and in 1972 Tromont Morris Philips was born. After high school he enlisted in the Army and served five years for our country. He moved to Colorado Springs and met the love of his life, Loretta Taylor. He was involved in a modeling group called Gentlemen of the Twenty First Century, which put on fashion shows for Sears and JC Penney. In 1981, one day after his birthday, his daughter Erica was born. Two years later they moved to California, where Stephen received his license as a physiatric and pharmacy technician. He worked at Patton State Hospital for 10 years and in 2011 he retired from the VA Hospital in Loma Linda after working there for eight years.
