Tony Myrell has been re-elected chairman of the San Bernardino County Workforce Development Board (WDB).
Myrell, president and owner of Premier Medical Transportation in Colton, has served on the WDB for more than six years. He holds one of just 25 spots on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Workforce Boards, which selects chairs from the top-performing regions around the country to work closely with legislators to influence national policy and support partnerships in education, business, economic development and labor.
Phil Cothran of Fontana has also been re-elected as vice chairman. He has been involved with the WDB for more than 23 years, serving as chair three times, and has chaired numerous committees. He owns Phil Cothran Agency, a State Farm Insurance brokerage.
William Sterling has also been re-elected second vice chairman. He has served for six years on the WDB. He is the president of Sterling Synergy Systems Inc., providing technical and business consulting services throughout the United States.
The WDB operates three America’s Job Centers of California and works with partner organizations to provide a multitude of free business solutions and career-development services.
