Domino’s pizza theater in Fontana, located at 16135 Sierra Lakes Parkway, Suite 250, is now open for business.

In celebration of the store’s recent opening, carryout customers who download Domino’s mobile ordering app and sign up for Piece of the Pie Rewards during their in-store visit from now until Dec. 31 will receive a free order of bread twists.

“We are excited to now offer delivery to the Las Colinas area of Fontana,” said Fernando Tapia, one of Fontana Domino’s franchise owners. “We look forward to serving delicious pizza and providing exceptional service to local residents.”

The location, which is also owned by Roosevelt Martin and Andres Portillo, features the pizza theater design which allows flexibility for several elements otherwise unheard of when it comes to a “traditional” Domino’s store. Highlights include an open-area viewing of the food preparation process, indoor seating, free Wi-Fi and the ability to track carryout orders electronically on a lobby screen. The store also features a chalkboard to allow customers to express their creativity or to leave feedback for the store team members.

“The store features an open-concept, interactive experience where customers can actually watch and track their pizza being made, each step of the way,” said Tapia. “Domino’s is bringing the art and fun of pizza making to the forefront.”

Domino’s in Fontana is also looking to hire delivery drivers, customer service representatives and assistant managers. More than 90 percent of Domino’s U.S. franchise owners actually began their career as part-time delivery drivers or pizza makers, including Tapia. He began working at Domino’s as a driver in 1990 and worked his way up. He became a franchisee in 2008 and now owns 39 stores throughout California.
