Manufacturing Day

Students participate in the Manufacturing Day event in Fontana in 2018.  This year's event will be held on Oct. 4.

About 500 high school students, including about 420 from San Bernardino County, will take part in the annual Manufacturing Day Expo at the Industrial Technical Learning Center (InTech) in Fontana on Oct. 4.

Students will have the opportunity to meet with local manufacturers, view exhibits and participate in hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields. Juniors and seniors enrolled in Advanced Manufacturing Career Technical Education Pathways will tour manufacturing sites and meet with employers to learn about resumes, interviewing and employability skills.

Fontana Unified School District students will be participating in the event. Other districts involved in the expo will be Apple Valley Unified, Chaffey Joint Union High, Chino Valley Unified, Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program, Colton Joint Unified, Redlands Unified, Rim of the World Unified, San Bernardino City Unified and Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified.

The event is organized and sponsored by Chaffey College, the InTech Center, San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools' Alliance for Education, California Steel Industries and JP Morgan Chase and Co.
