West Valley Water District is currently holding its annual Holiday Toy Drive.

The program is in partnership with Children’s Fund of San Bernardino County, a local non-profit organization which works with the most vulnerable children in the county. For more than 31 years, Children’s Fund has been collecting holiday gifts for children who have been brought “in the system” and are in most need of support.

Last year, more than 300 children received gifts from WVWD board members, employees, and contractors.

More than 37,400 children were provided with holiday gifts by Children’s Fund in 2018.

For persons interested in donating gifts, here are a few ideas for various age groups:

Ages 6-8: Arts and craft sets, Barbie dolls, bicycles with helmets, books, dress-up sets, sports balls, action figures, educational toys, games or puzzles

Ages 9-12: Arts and craft sets, bath and body sets, bicycles with helmets, wallets, watches, books or journals, curling/straight iron, sports equipment

Ages 12-18: $25 gift card, games or puzzles, bath and body sets, ear phones, wallet, clothing, blow dryer, books or journals.

WVWD will continue accepting unwrapped holiday gifts for children through Thursday, Dec. 19. Holiday gifts can be delivered to the WVWD office located at 855 W. Baseline Road in Rialto.
