'Superheroes' will be in attendance when the Lewis Library hosts its New Book Festival on April 13.

The Lewis Library and Technology Center will be holding its Annual New Book Festival on Saturday, April 13.

The free event will take place from 2 to 7 p.m. at 8437 Sierra Avenue.

Once again, thousands of new books will be available for patrons for the very first time.

Local families are invited to celebrate literacy and meet "superheroes" such as Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Spider-Man. The Batmobile, a fire engine, and a police car can be seen up close.

Youngsters can also build memories in the Jumbo Block play area, make fun crafts, enjoy face painting and balloon artists, and dance to a live DJ.

Visitors should bring their library card, as every 15 items checked out during the event earns visitors an opportunity drawing ticket for a chance to win prizes.
