Rick Springfield will be performing at the Lewis Family Playhouse on Sept. 14.

A performance by pop singer Rick Springfield will kick off the 2019-2020 season at Lewis Family Playhouse at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga.

Springfield, a Grammy Award winner who has sold 25 million albums, will be launching the Playhouse’s 14th season on Saturday, Sept. 14.

He has 17 U.S. Top 40 hits, including “Jessie’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “An Affair of the Heart,” “I’ve Done Everything for You,” “Love Somebody,” and “Human Touch.”

Other shows during the upcoming months at the Lewis Family Playhouse will include:

• Sunday, Sept. 15 -- Attendees can celebrate Mexican Independence Day with world-renowned Mexican-American roots band, Los Cenzontles.

• Friday, Sept. 20 -- Grammy-nominated Tig Notaro, a groundbreaking stand-up comedian, actor, writer, producer, and director, will perform.

• Oct. 12-27 -- MainStreet Theatre Company presents: “OLIVÉRio: A Brazilian Twist.”

• Friday, Nov. 1 -- OK Go!, the rock band famous for their wildly creative videos, bring their unique magic to the Playhouse stage.

• Friday, Nov. 22 -- A magical Broadway Princess Party will be hosted by a royal trio of Broadway originals — Laura Osnes (Cinderella in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella”), Susan Egan (original Belle in “Beauty and the Beast”), and Courtney Reed (original Jasmine in “Aladdin”).

• Saturday, Nov. 23 -- Bass player Lee Rocker, an original founder of the Stray Cats, will make his Playhouse debut.

• Sunday, Nov. 24 -- Mark Barnett and the Black and White Nights will bring Roy Orbison’s haunting ballads to life.

• Nov. 30 to Dec. 8 -- Inland Pacific Ballet will present “The Nutcracker,” Southern California’s most spectacular production of the traditional holiday ballet.

• Saturday, Dec. 14 -- The Jive Aces, a British band, will ring in the holidays with their high-energy music and spectacular stage show.

• Sunday, Dec. 15 -- Ambassador of Americana Charles Phoenix will transform the classic living room slide show into a roast-and-toast of classic mid-century holidays with his Retro Holiday Jubilee.

• Friday, Dec. 20 -- Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Darlene Love and her friends will deliver the holiday spirit by performing both Christmas classics as well as Love’s original greatest hits.

• Saturday, Dec. 21 -- In honor of Nat King Cole’s 100th birthday, accomplished film and television actor Keith David will star as the Man with the Velvet Voice in a theatrical holiday radio show.

• Sunday, Dec. 22 -- Genre-bending classical fusion trio TAKE 3 and Yanni vocalist Lauren Jelencovich will share a lively afternoon of holiday favorites.
