An exciting start to the holiday season was celebrated at the Jessie Turner Community Center in Fontana on Nov. 3.

The "Soulful Taste of the Holidays" event gave guests the opportunity to try a variety of foods, share recipes, and enjoy line dancing.

Food from Olive Garden, Dickey's Barbecue, Mary Stewart's Southern Soul Food, and Lucille's Smokehouse Barbecue was on the menu.

Harriette Coggs Stuckey, founder and director of Heart and Soul Line Dance, was honored for her 15 years of community service.

Music was provided by DJ Twist for a large holiday gathering of people.

Guests said it was a perfect way to start the holiday season with shopping in the vendor area, winning door prizes, playing in the photo booth, dancing, eating and being with family and friends.
