A spectacular fireworks show will take place at Fontana High School on July 4.

Local residents are invited to celebrate the nation's birthday at the City of Fontana's Fourth of July Celebration on Thursday, July 4.

The popular annual event will run from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Fontana High School, 9453 Citrus Avenue.

Tickets are now on sale for $6 apiece.

Tickets can be purchased at the following locations:

• Jessie Turner Health and Fitness Community Center, 15556 Summit Avenue

• Don Day Neighborhood Center, 14501 Live Oak Avenue

• Fontana Community Services Department, 16860 Valencia Avenue

• City Hall, 8353 Sierra Avenue

The $6 ticket includes an evening of patriotic fireworks, food vendors, music, and entertainment featuring Kalimba, the Spirit of Earth Wind and Fire. Kalimba is an R&B/soul group from Seattle, Washington.

All tickets are for sale while supplies last, and cannot be purchased at the gates the day of the celebration.

Event attendees are encouraged to arrive early and bring sunscreen, lawn blankets, and dancing shoes to experience all the event activities and entertainment.
