Ephesians New Testament Church in Fontana will host a conference to discuss homelessness on Saturday, Aug. 17.

The conference is aiming to bring local agencies together to share information as to what is available to address the homeless situation in this region, said Bishop Emory B. James.

"Statistics will be provided as well as shared ideas. The faith-based community and non-profit leaders will also offer their input from their local churches," James said.

Homelessness has become a key issue that must be dealt with, James said.

The conference will begin at 9 a.m. and will be held at the West Side Baptist Church, 15006 West Randall Avenue in Fontana.
