A 44-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly set fire to a vehicle in Rancho Cucamonga on Oct. 2, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

At 1:09 a.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to a call of a fire in the 11300 block of Verona Drive. When deputies arrived, they located a vehicle fully engulfed in flames. Deputies contacted the owner, who was unaware his car was on fire.

Upon further investigation, deputies located surveillance video which led them to a suspect identified as Anitra Dennis. She was observed on video pouring a liquid on the vehicle, setting it on fire with a match and speeding off.

Deputies located Dennis and arrested her on an arson charge. She was booked at West Valley Detention Center, where her bail was set at $50,000.
