The California Highway Patrol is investigating an incident in which a pedestrian from Fontana was struck and killed on a freeway.

A Fontana man who was walking on the Interstate 15 Freeway died after being struck by a vehicle, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner's Division.

On Aug. 1 at 12:10 a.m., a 911 call was placed reporting a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on the southbound I-15, just north of SR-138 in San Bernardino.  The vehicle, a Toyota, was driven by a 19-year-old woman.

The pedestrian, Lupe Allejandro Flores, age 46, was confirmed deceased at the scene at 12:32 a.m. by first responders.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
