An annual event known as Love Fontana will bring together several groups on Saturday, July 13 to do volunteer work in the morning and then to provide a free celebration for families in the evening.
Love Fontana 2019 is sponsored by the Calvary Chapel Summit Church and the City of Fontana in partnership with the Fontana Police Officers Association and other business and civic organizations.
The purpose of Love Fontana is to beautify neighborhoods and parks by volunteers working in partnership with one another, organizers said.
“In the morning we will focus on cleaning and beautifying the historic Pacific Electric Walking Trail,” said Daniel Vasquez, pastor of Calvary Chapel Summit Church. “In the evening we will celebrate at Jack Bulik Park. It’s about making a difference and we know that starts with us.”
The big event will be held at Jack Bulik Park, 16581 Filbert Avenue, from 6 to 9 p.m.
The Fontana Police Officers Association will prepare lots of free hot dogs. Children will enjoy a fun zone with bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, a photo booth, free snow cones and popcorn.
