A 27-year-old man died in a traffic collision in Highland on Oct. 2, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
The incident, which involved a motorcycle and a vehicle, took place at 12:24 a.m. on 5th Street at the intersection with Del Rosa Drive.
The motorcycle rider suffered major injuries as a result of the collision. Paramedics from the Highland Fire Department and American Medical Response (A.M.R.) performed CPR on the rider at the scene and he was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The motorcycle rider succumbed to his injuries at the hospital a short time later.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperative with the investigation. Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be factors in the collision and no one was charged with any crimes.
