A man was arrested for allegedly committing a residential burglary in Rancho Cucamonga on Oct. 10, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to a call of a suspicious person exiting a garage in the 7700 block of Lion Street who appeared to be concealing something in his waistband at 9:10 a.m.

Deputies located a man walking near Church Street and Hellman Avenue, and Albert Costa, 21, matched the description of the suspicious person.

Deputies contacted the owner of the home, who reported two power drills were missing from his garage. Deputies searched the bushes where Costa was walking and located two power drills with the victim’s name on them.

Costa was identified as the person leaving the garage and was arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center.
