The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said that a man was arrested on charges of possession of unlawful paraphernalia and a controlled substance in Rancho Cucamonga.

After a short pursuit in Rancho Cucamonga, deputies arrested a man on charges of possession of unlawful paraphernalia and a controlled substance, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

On Nov. 13, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to a call of a suspicious man possibly breaking into vehicles in the 9800 block of Highland Avenue.

As deputies were arriving on scene, the suspect fled the area in his vehicle and turned off his lights as he turned onto Alta Loma Drive. Deputies followed the suspect and conducted a traffic stop.

Deputies contacted the suspect in his vehicle, where he was found with his shorts down to his ankles. The suspect was identified as Jerry Huff, 41, of Rancho Cucamonga, and a records check revealed he was on probation.

A search of his vehicle was done and deputies allegedly located methamphetamine, a glass pipe and an air soft rifle. Huff was arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center.
