The San Bernardino Police Department reported that an officer-involved shooting took place in San Bernardino on Aug. 2.

An officer-involved shooting took place in San Bernardino on Aug. 2, according to the San Bernardino Police Department.

At about 1:38 a.m., officers observed a car to car shooting in the area of Sterling and Highland Avenue in San Bernardino, police said in a news release.

A few minutes later, an officer in the area of Highland and H Street heard the vehicles approaching and observed occupants from a vehicle firing in his direction, police said.

An officer-involved shooting occurred and the vehicle crashed into a nearby residence.

No citizens were injured and one suspect was apprehended at that location.

The Police Department is currently looking for possible outstanding suspects.

The suspect was identified as Rickie Clark, a 21-year-old Rialto resident.

No additional information was provided.
