A 24-year-old San Bernardino man was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing two children, according to the San Bernardino Police Department.

The abuse allegedly began in 2014 while the family lived in Highland. In 2017, the family relocated to San Bernardino and the abuse continued, police said.

The suspect, David Junior Torres, was known and trusted by the family, police said.

In late 2018, the allegations were reported to both San Bernardino Police and San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Both agencies worked diligently to identify, interview and ultimately arrest Torres, who was booked at Central Detention Center.

Both agencies are requesting members of the public to call detectives if they suspect Torres had inappropriate contact or access to their children.

Anyone with information is urged to call San Bernardino Police Detective Desrochers at (909) 384-5637 or San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Detective Kessler at (909) 425-9793.
