The California Highway Patrol is investigating traffic collisions that occurred on freeways during the past weekend in San Bernardino County.

Three people died in separate vehicle collisions in San Bernardino County during the weekend of Dec. 7-8, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner's Division.

• On Dec. 8 at 3:25 a.m., officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to a single vehicle collision on the eastbound Route 210 Freeway overcrossing, south of San Bernardino Avenue in Redlands. The driver, 29-year-old Karina Sarah Bernas of Beaumont, was pronounced deceased at the scene at 4:04 a.m. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.

• On Dec. 7 at 11:11 p.m., a single vehicle collision was reported on the transition road from south Interstate 15 to eastbound Interstate 10 in Ontario. Emergency personnel confirmed a male fatality on Dec. 8 at 12:10 a.m. When the decedent is identified, and the family is notified of the death, the name will be released. The CHP is investigating the incident.

• On Dec. 7 at 7:59 p.m., officers with the Colton Police Department responded to a multiple vehicle collision at the intersection of South Rancho Avenue and West N Street in Colton. A driver, 59-year-old Donald Carol Sanders of Rialto, was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and pronounced deceased in the emergency department at 8:43 p.m. The Colton Police Department is investigating the collision.
