Two young men were shot in San Bernardino on Dec. 5, and one of them later died, according to the San Bernardino Police Department.

At about 3:11 p.m., the victims were the lone occupants in a vehicle that had just left the area of the Waterman Discount Mall in San Bernardino. Unknown suspect(s) fired at them, striking them both.

Bernie Robins, 23, of Inglewood was transported to St. Bernardine Medical Center and later transferred via ambulance to another local hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.

The second victim, a 19-year-old man, suffered a single gunshot wound but survived the incident.

At this time there is no suspect information or known motive. The SBPD Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s assistance. Anyone with information is requested to contact Detective M. Granado at (909) 384-5628 or Sergeant M. Mahan at (909) 384-5613.
