A 27-year-old woman from San Bernardino was killed in a hit-and-run traffic collision in Muscoy on March 14, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At about 7:42 p.m., the unidentified pedestrian was crossing the roadway on Cajon Boulevard, north of Kern Street. The driver of an unknown vehicle traveled onto the center median of Cajon northbound, north of Kern, struck the pedestrian and fled the scene.

As a result of the collision, the woman sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending identification and notification of next of kin by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner's Office.
