A 19-year-old Bloomington man died in a traffic collision in the Cajon Pass on Aug. 3, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At about 11:30 p.m., the unidentified driver of a 2015 Gray Kia Sol was traveling on Interstate 15 southbound, north of SR-138, at an unknown speed. A 45-year-old Long Beach man was driving a 2013 Toyota Prius in the same area at about 60-65 miles per hour.

For reasons still under investigation, the Kia collided into the left rear of the Toyota, causing the Kia to travel out of control onto the right shoulder and going down the descending dirt and brush embankment. The occupants of the Toyota did not sustain any injuries.
