The Fontana Police Animal Services Team apprehended a young bull that was on the loose in western Fontana on July 1.

The bull had been strolling down the sidewalk on Foothill Boulevard, just west of Calabash Avenue, according to a Facebook post by the Police Department.

Officers were able to gain control of the bull by tempting him with carrots.

The bull, named "Little Red," was identified and returned to his owners.

"Little Red is just a baby at five years old and will be finding a new home out of city limits where he is sure to spread his wings," the Facebook post said.
