A man shot himself to death inside Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center on Nov. 8, according to the Fontana Police Department.
At about midnight, Fontana Police Dispatch received a 911 call from the emergency room at the hospital.
A 71-year-old patient went into a bathroom and shot himself with a gun he had concealed on him, police said. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The man's family was notified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner's Office.
No other persons were injured as a result of the incident.
Part of the emergency room was temporarily closed while detectives conducted their investigation.
