A motorcyclist died after being struck by a vehicle in eastern Fontana on Nov. 16, and a suspect was later arrested and charged with homicide in the case, according to the Fontana Police Department.
At about 9 a.m., police received a call of a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a white vehicle, said Officer Kevin Anderson.
The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Arrow Boulevard and the motorcycle was heading northbound on Locust Avenue. The vehicle ran the red stoplight, struck the motorcycle, and continued through the intersection, police said.
The vehicle was later identified as an Oldsmobile Intrigue and the driver was identified as Kevin Alexander, 29, of San Bernardino.
Alexander allegedly made a U-turn, went back to the scene of the collision, and intentionally struck the victim a second time, police said. Alexander then drove away northbound on Locust.
The victim, a 53-year-old man, was transported to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
On Nov. 17, Fontana P.D. detectives located Alexander at his residence. He was arrested without incident.
