A suspect in a stolen truck caused a multi-vehicle collision in Fontana on Sept. 4, according to the Fontana Police Department.
At about 10 a.m., police received a 911 call reporting that a victim's commercial truck had just been stolen, said Officer Daniel Romero.
While officers were en route to the scene, they started to get other 911 calls reporting a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Sierra and Marygold avenues.
The suspect in the stolen truck had rear-ended a Honda and pushed it into a traffic signal and another vehicle, Romero said.
The truck continued over the center divider across northbound lanes and struck a fence in the parking lot of Kaiser Hospital.
The suspect, identified as Joshua Cook, 34, was arrested and transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where he was admitted for a preexisting medical condition.
The driver of the Honda had moderate injuries and was transported to Kaiser Hospital for treatment.
