An Alder Middle School teacher was arrested on Oct. 16 in connection with charges unrelated to her employment with the Fontana Unified School District, according to the FUSD School Police Department.

Lisa Iorio, 50, a resident of Riverside, has been charged with drug possession and child endangerment.

Iorio, who was already on leave, was immediately placed on administrative leave. She is prohibited from entering Alder or any other FUSD campus, the district said.

"It was during the legal action that Fontana Unified learned this teacher had been arrested previously in connection to charges also unrelated to her job or the district. The district was not informed by authorities, as is standard procedure in such cases," the FUSD said in a news release.

"Fontana Unified places the highest priority on the safety of our students and staff and is committed to ensuring the best possible learning environments. District leadership is working with local law enforcement to ensure communication protocols are observed to allow the swiftest response possible."

It is terrible that teachers can do such things. I believe that for this you can even apply the death penalty as in the examples of the essay this one. The rights of many students are violated. Everyone has the right to their own opinion, even if it does not coincide with the majority.
