A fire that greatly disrupted traffic on the Interstate 15 and Route 210 Freeways in Fontana during the afternoon of Thursday, Oct. 10 was extinguished, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department.

The fire, fueled by high winds, burned about 10 acres, but no structures were damaged and no injuries were reported, the Fire Department said on Twitter. The cause was under investigation.

There were partial closures of the eastbound and westbound 210 Freeway and the northbound 15 Freeway to the 210 interchange while crews battled the fire.
