Three suspects were arrested in Fontana in connection with a shooting incident that took place in Upland on Aug. 7, according to a Facebook post by the Upland Police Department.
During the early morning hours, officers responded to the area of 11th Avenue and Sycamore Court in Upland, where a victim had been shot in the leg with a shotgun. The victim survived his injuries, according to Upland Police Sgt. Andrew McCullough.
Police worked quickly to identify and locate the suspects, and during the evening, the alleged shooter and his two accomplices were taken into custody in Fontana, police said. The alleged shooter was booked on a charge of attempted murder.
The weapon, ammunition, and body armor were recovered in a search warrant, McCullough said.
