Some neighborhoods in northern Fontana will be undergoing a nine-week resurfacing project beginning on Monday, Aug. 19 and continuing through Friday, Oct. 11 (depending on weather conditions).

The road work will affect neighborhoods north of Baseline Avenue, east of Cherry Avenue, south of State Route 210 and west of Citrus Avenue, according to the City of Fontana.

Construction will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. “No Parking” signs will be posted 48 hours in advance to minimize inconveniences to residences and businesses during the construction.

Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling within the area and use alternate routes whenever possible.

For more information about the project, contact the Public Works Department at (909) 350-6760.
