More rain is on the way in Fontana this week (Dec. 1-7), according to the National Weather Service.
The precipitation is likely to begin on Tuesday night, Dec. 3 and will be particularly strong on Wednesday, Dec. 4. Then after a dry spell on Thursday, Dec. 5, the rain could return again during the weekend.
Fontana experienced lots of rain (and even some snow) during the past week, and even though some sunshine broke through on Nov. 29 and 30, the cold winter weather is expected to continue.

Monday, Dec. 2 -- Partly sunny, with a high near 67. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Monday night -- Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Tuesday, Dec. 3 -- Rain likely after 4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68. North wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
Tuesday night -- Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. Low around 51. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.
Wednesday, Dec. 4 -- Rain before 10 a.m, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 60. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.
Wednesday night -- A chance of showers, mainly before 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49.
Thursday, Dec. 5 -- Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63.
Thursday night -- Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50.
