After a few cooler days, the temperature will soar back up to 100 degrees in Fontana on Friday, Sept. 13, according to the National Weather Service.

Here is the forecast:

Thursday, Sept. 12 -- Sunny, with a high near 97. North wind 10 to 15 mph becoming light and variable. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Thursday night -- Clear, with a low around 70. West wind 10 to 15 mph becoming light and variable in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Friday, Sept. 13 -- Sunny, with a high near 100. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Friday night -- Clear, with a low around 73. West wind 10 to 15 mph becoming light and variable in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Saturday, Sept. 14 -- Sunny, with a high near 99. Light west wind increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Saturday night -- Mostly clear, with a low around 70.

Sunday, Sept. 15 -- Mostly sunny, with a high near 95.
