A young woman was arrested following a police pursuit that started in Fontana and ended with a collision in Rancho Cucamonga on July 15, according to the Fontana Police Department.

A Fontana police vehicle was involved in a separate collision during the incident. There were no injuries.

At about 8:58 a.m., Fontana officers attempted a traffic stop on a red Mitsubishi Lancer for vehicle code violations. The vehicle failed to yield, and a pursuit ensued.

The driver fled through Fontana and into Rancho Cucamonga, and at about 9:08 a.m., the vehicle collided into a pole at Arrow Route and Haven Avenue, police said.

The driver, Priscilla Birrasa, was taken into custody and was found to have a warrant for her arrest, police said. She was booked at West Valley Detention Center.

During the pursuit, a police vehicle collided with a trash truck at Milliken Avenue and Arrow. The Rancho Cucamonga Police Department handled the traffic accident report.
