Esther Marie Bennett, 94, of Fontana passed away on Dec. 6, 2019 in Fontana.
She was born to Edmund and Anna Osiecki on March 2, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois.
Esther met and married the love of her life, William Bennett, Sr. and together they shared 39 ½ years of marriage.
Esther attended high school and later went on to work as a telephone operator.
As her family started coming along, Esther stayed home to care for them.
Esther gave of her time generously and was a Past Worthy Matron, Past Grand Representative to Maine, and Past Deputy Grand Matron of the Order of Eastern Star and was a member for 50 years; Past Worthy High Priestess of White Shrine of Jerusalem and was a member for more than 50 years and was a member of the Daughters of the Nile. Esther served on the boards of Job’s Daughters, Rainbow for Girls and Order of DeMolay. She was also a member of the American Legion for 61 years.
Esther will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children: Phyllis (Glenn) Jackson, Phillip Bennett, and William (Debby) Bennett, Jr. Esther is also survived by her grandchildren: Jennifer (Matt) Reese and Bryan Bennett and great-grandchild Braden Reese, her two sisters Theresa Bruzdzinski and Lucille Gromek, and many nieces and nephews.
Esther is preceded in death by her husband William Bennett, Sr. on Oct. 12, 1992.
