Miguel Cabrera, born Nov. 2, 1930 in El Salvador, passed away on May 29, 2019 at home surrounded by his loved ones.
Miguel was a hard worker who loved his family. He was the father of Hector Cabrera, owner of Hector’s Bike Shop on the northeast corner of Foothill Boulevard and Palmetto Avenue. Hector said he learned everything he knows from his father, who was a passionate mechanic in his own right.
Miguel leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 69 years Martha DeJesus Cabrera and 10 children: three sons, Jose Cabrera of Azusa, Hector Cabrera (Milena) of Riverside, and Rolando Cabrera of Cerritos; seven daughters, Gladys Cabrera of Carson, Sonia Chacon (Albert) of El Salvador, Sylvia Cabrera of El Segundo, daughter in Azusa, Martha Castro (Neftaly) of Azusa, Aracely Cabrera of Lancaster, and Ruth Cabrera of Azusa. Other survivors include 30 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Velacion service is scheduled on June 24 from 5-9 p.m. at Oakdale Memorial Park and Mortuary, 1401 So. Grand Avenue, Glendora. Funeral service will be on June 25 at 11 a.m. at Oakdale Cemetery. Repass will follow the committal service there at the Memorial Park.
