Randy Lee Trickett, a life-long resident and homeowner of Fontana, died on Oct. 22 at the age of 67 at his home.
Randy is survived by his daughter, Jenny Trickett Long of Fontana; his grandchildren, Jacob and Mathew Martinez of Barstow and Cody and Alexis Marquardt of Fontana; his great grandsons, Luke Marquardt of Fontana, and one on the way; his nieces, Shelly Fox of Orlando, FL and Lori Blecka of Beaumont; and great niece, Emily Fox of Orlando, FL. He is predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Everett Trickett, his brother Larry, and his wife, Cindy of nearly 47 years.
Randy was born to Dorothy and Everett in Fontana on May 20, 1952. On Jan. 29, 1972, he married Cindy, his high school sweetheart. On Sept. 11, 1972, he welcomed his beautiful daughter Jenny, who became the most important part of his life. Randy graduated from Fontana High School and worked at several jobs, most recently as a property management employee at Olive Crest in Riverside. He retired from Olive Crest in 2018 upon learning that he had bladder cancer.
Randy was a devoted father and God-fearing Christian. He loved many things, but the most important thing to him was his devotion to his faith and his family. He served in his church as long as his body allowed. He was an avid animal lover, loved his dogs, and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed gardening and grew and maintained a beautiful vegetable garden. He will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all who knew him, but he is now at peace in the arms of his savior, and will suffer no more.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the family home on Saturday, Nov. 23 from noon to 3 p.m.
