Dear Editor:

OK, we can't have our cake and eat it too!

Many people are complaining about their power being turned off during wind storms. I get it but, we can't sue the power companies when their lines come down because of the winds either. We are putting them in a position that is winless. I don't think they want to shut it off as that effects their income.

Maybe the answer is something like clearing ALL vegetation from anywhere near power lines. By doing this, there would be no fire danger. This does not mean that there would be no power outages when the lines come down.
