The Kaiser High School football team stayed undefeated by romping past Westminster, 49-0, in a non-league game on Sept. 6.

The Cats, who led 42-0 at halftime, improved their record to 3-0 and stayed No. 1 in the CIF's Division 6 rankings.

Dustin Chaidez rushed 11 times for 101 yards and 4 touchdowns, and he also caught an 11-yard pass and scored on a two-point conversion.

Quarterback Trevian Tribble carried the football twice for 96 yards, including an 82-yarder, and he also completed 5 of 9 passes for 69 yards.

Gabriel Ortiz gained 83 yards in 7 rushing attempts and scored one touchdown. Donovan Price had a 59-yard run and Marc Alvarez sped 30 yards for a touchdown as Kaiser piled up 401 yards on the ground.

Nicholas Edwards completed a 38-yard pass. Josiah Finnell had 2 receptions for 22 yards and Fernando Medina, Javier Wimbley, and Robert Keeler all caught passes. Finnell returned 2 punts for 48 yards and also brought back a kickoff 42 yards.

Joseph Glenn kicked 5 extra points.

Chaidez was the leader on defense with 5 solo tackles and 3 assisted tackles.

Ortiz made 4 tackles and 1 assist, Pablo Almeda had 3 tackles and 1 assist, and Matthew Lua had 2 tackles. Donovan Price and Almeda both had a sack.

Kaiser will play Hillcrest at the Norte Vista High School field on Thursday, Sept. 12.
