The Etiwanda High School basketball teams have been superb for many years, and they are continuing their excellent work again as the 2019-2020 season begins.

Both squads have several talented players coming back from last year, when they took first place in the Baseline League.

----- THE ETIWANDA LADIES raised their record to 6-2 in non-league competition with a 49-32 rout of Troy in the Troy Classic Tournament in Fullerton on Dec. 7.

The Eagles' only loss in the tourney was by a 44-37 score against Long Beach Poly.

----- MEANWHILE, the Etiwanda men lifted their record to 8-1 by smashing Westchester, 52-36, in the Westchester Tournament on Dec. 7.

The Eagles jumped out to a 19-6 lead in the first quarter.

Etiwanda's only defeat came the previous day in a 48-47 heartbreaker against Heritage Christian.
