Athletes from Fontana A.B. Miller High School were quite successful during their first year of competition in the Mountain Valley League.

Miller teams won four league championships and also advanced to the CIF playoffs in other sports during the 2018-2019 school year.

Previously, Miller had struggled while competing in the much tougher Citrus Belt League.

The championship teams were:

• In the fall of 2018, the Miller volleyball ladies won the league title with a perfect 12-0 record.

• In the winter, the basketball men captured the undisputed crown by acquiring an 11-1 league record (18-6 overall).

• The soccer ladies accomplished a record of 8-0-4 (9-2-4 overall) and secured the league title.

• In the spring, the Rebels finished No. 1 in softball with a record of 11-1.

Also, the Miller baseball team came in second place in the league and advanced to the second round of the CIF playoffs, while the volleyball men finished in third place and won their playoff opener. The soccer men took third place in the standings and the wrestlers had some outstanding individual performances.
