Marvin Jones Jr., a former Etiwanda High School star, turned in a good performance for the Detroit Lions in their 31-24 loss to the Oakland Raiders in an NFL game on Nov. 3.
The receiver caught 8 passes for 126 yards and a touchdown during the game. One of his receptions was a spectacular 47-yard catch that he wrestled away from the Oakland defender.
Overall this year, the Fontana native has caught 42 passes for 535 yards and 6 touchdowns.
----- IN ANOTHER NFL GAME that day, Jamaal Williams, a former Summit High School player, caught a 10-yard touchdown pass in Green Bay's 26-11 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Williams, a running back, hauled in 6 passes for 39 yards overall. He also carried the football 2 times for 10 yards.
This season, Williams has rushed 52 times for 228 yards and a TD, and he has caught 25 passes for 166 yards and 5 touchdowns.
