Eric Marinez completed 9 of 14 passes for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Jurupa Hills football team achieved an exciting 35-28 win over Arlington in a non-league game on Sept. 5.

Marinez also rushed 8 times for 52 yards as the Spartans improved their season record to 2-0.

Davieon Gambo caught 4 passes for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns and Trayton Cooper caught 3 passes for 133 yards, including an 81-yard touchdown reception. Sean McKenzie had 2 receptions for 12 yards.

William English had 32 yards in 5 rushing attempts and scored a touchdown, and Gambo carried the football 5 times for 24 yards and a TD.

Cooper and McKenzie both supplied 8 yards on the ground and Miguel Rodriguez had 4 yards in 1 carry.

Jose Diaz kicked 5 of 5 PAT attempts.

Jurupa Hills will play at home against Temescal Canyon on Friday, Sept. 13.
