After two road losses to begin the 2019-2020 season, the Ontario Fury professional soccer team came roaring back with two straight victories in their home arena last weekend.
The Fury triumphed over the Tacoma Stars, 10-7, thanks to five goals by Franck Tayou, on Dec. 20 at Toyota Arena.
Then on Dec. 22, Tayou scored five more goals as the Fury downed the Turlock Cal Express, 8-3.
Tayou, who has earned the nickname "The King" in the Major Arena Soccer League, helped give Ontario a 5-3 lead at halftime against the Express. Then the Ontario squad dominated the second half as goalkeeper Chris Toth turned away all 12 of Turlock's shots on goal in the final 30 minutes.
The Fury will be back in action on Saturday, Dec. 28 as they host Soles de Sonora from Mexico at 6 p.m. at Toyota Arena. Tickets for the game are on sale at the box office or online through Ticketmaster or OntarioFury.com. Tickets can also be purchased by calling the Fury’s offices at (909) 457-0252.
