All five high school football teams from Fontana achieved victories against their out-of-town opponents during action on Oct. 3 and 4.

For the moment, all five teams are in first place in the standings of their respective leagues.

The results for the Fontana teams:

• Kaiser stayed undefeated with a 35-7 win over Grand Terrace in the Sunkist League opener.

• Jurupa Hills also remained unbeaten by clobbering Rialto, 46-7, in the first San Andreas League game.

• Summit opened its Sunkist League campaign with a 50-0 triumph over Bloomington.

• Fontana High School won a thriller against Colton, 24-20, in the Sunkist League.

• Fontana A.B. Miller held on for a dramatic 27-26 win over Rubidoux to stay atop the Mountain Valley League.
