The Southridge Tech volleyball team enjoyed its best season ever and made school history in 2019.

The Southridge varsity and JV teams were invited to play in two tournaments, the Ontario Christian Middle School Tournament and the Out of Bounds Club Leagues Horror Ball Tournament. The varsity team took first place at both events, and the JV squad came in second place both times.

In addition, the Southridge teams were the champions in the city of Fontana's volleyball league, which included seven middle schools. The other schools were Wayne Ruble, Seqouia, Fontana Middle, Almería, Alder and Truman.

The Southridge varsity group went undefeated with an 8-0 record and earned the No. 1 seed in the playoffs. In the semifinals, Southridge defeated the No. 4 seed, Fontana Middle School, and advanced to the final match. Then Southridge defeated the No. 2 seed, Wayne Ruble, in the finals and won the first varsity championship in the school's 32-year history.

The varsity team players were co-captains Samantha Enciso and Genevie Perez, Jazzelyn Chacon, Sophia Mendoza, Alyssa Gonzalez, Isaiah Durian, Ariana Bernal, Crystal Chikezie, Joshua Romero, Brianna Vega, Vivianna Vega, and Jazmyn Johnson.

The coaching staff included Jackie Heredia, Alex Vega and David Gabonay.
