The Summit tennis ladies won their third straight league championship.

Led by team captain Azely Vega, the Summit High School tennis ladies captured their third straight Sunkist League championship.

The SkyHawks went 8-1 during the Sunkist season and 15-7 overall under head coach Jarrold Chang and assistant coach Gilbert Recio.

Vega, Summit's No. 1 singles player, went undefeated in the league season for the second consecutive year.

In the Sunkist individual tournament, Vega achieved the singles title and earned a spot in the CIF individual tourney.

Itzel Gil, the No. 2 singles player, finished third in the tournament, making her a CIF alternate. Also helping the SkyHawks this season in the singles category were Zenaida Pineda and Camila Gordillo.

Summit's No. 1 doubles team, Karylle Canto and Christina Serrato, won the league title and earned a berth in the CIF individual tournament.

Other doubles teams were Ericka Varela/Juliette LeBlanc, Liliana Plascencia/Kaitlyn Alvarado, and Sophia Valdez/Brisa Zepeda.

Kaiser High School was the second place finisher in the Sunkist League standings with a 7-2 record and also qualified for the CIF playoffs.
